Die Wei\u00dfkiefer (Pinus halepensis) ist immergr\u00fcn und hat eine unregelm\u00e4\u00dfige Krone. Sie produziert Zapfen, die mehrere Jahre lang am Baum h\u00e4ngen bleiben k\u00f6nnen. Dieser Baum ist in unserer Landschaft auf den Balearen immer h\u00e4ufiger anzutreffen, da er sich durch Br\u00e4nde und die Aufgabe von Anbaufl\u00e4chen ausbreiten kann. Im Jahr 1972 wurden die Unterarten \u201eCeciliae\u201d-Kiefer und \u201eZwerg\u201d-Kiefer entdeckt.<\/p>\n

Die \u201eCeciliae\u201d-Kiefer zeichnet sich durch eine l\u00e4nglichere Krone mit geraderen \u00c4sten aus, die n\u00e4her am Stamm wachsen. Diese Sorte gilt als endemische Art Mallorcas.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Die \u201eZwerg\u201d-Kiefer hat viel kleinere Zapfen und Nadeln als eine normale Kiefer und w\u00e4chst langsamer. Ein Beispiel daf\u00fcr ist die Hexenveredelung, eine Mutation, die dazu f\u00fchrt, dass ein Ast dicht besetzt und zwergw\u00fcchsig w\u00e4chst.<\/p>\n
