This is a difficult yet rewarding hike, the length of which depends on the day of the week. On weekdays, this walk is lengthend somewhat by the fact that the land owners (a water company) do not allow vehicle access, in which case a 30-40 minute walk alkong concrete road is required before beginning the ascent proper. The ascent across rocky mule tracks is strenuous in places, and there are also scree slopes to negotiate with two sections of scrambling which have been made safe with cables and iron rungs.
45€ per person (includes transportation to and from a central pick-up point and insurance.)
Payment Terms: A 20% deposit is taken at the time of booking and the remainder should be paid in cash to your guide on the day.
Please refer to our calendar for dates and to book online.
The meeting point is on the main roundabout in Santa Ponsa – next to the bus stops, opposite the taxi rank (there is a “meeting point” sign post there). Pick-up time is 9.00am and you will be dropped off at the same place at around 4.00pm (but finish times can vary depending on conditions and the pace of the walk). The cancellation of a walk is rare, but it can happen, so it is important you understand our approach to adverse weather and our cancellation policy.
Ahead of any walk we will monitor the weather forecast closely. In most cases where there is light rain or rain is forecast, we will still go ahead with the walk, but naturally will only do so if we deem it safe and if everybody is suitably equipped. There are exceptions and rare occasions when we might cancel a walk. These include (but are not limited to):
We stress again that such situations are rare; but in the event of a walk being cancelled, any deposit paid will of course be refunded (via PayPal or direct to your card). However, if there is an occasion when we go ahead with a walk but it is abandoned due to worsening conditions then you are still obliged to pay in full and no refund will be issued.
